london iFabbo conference

I cannot believe I have been back from London for an entire week! It seems like it was just yesterday I was soaking up the warm sunny weather and meeting UK-based bloggers at the first ever iFabbo Conference.

The conference was wonderful. I learned a ton and met some really great people. It was held at Kettner's in Soho which is an absolutely stunning venue. The topics covered ranged from creating relationships with PR companies and brands; the business of blogging; street style photography; the influence of bloggers on styles and trends; and how to effectively use social media to promote your brand.

I learned so much and took a ton of notes, but the one thing that stuck out to me above anything else was the importance of authenticity. I think authenticity gives a reader a reason to read and to keep coming back. Although my blog is still a baby, I hope that I have come across as authentic and sincere in my posts. If you haven't read my about me I encourage you to do so. You'll see that I am definitely not at a point in my life where I have it all together. I am constantly looking for a new opportunity or right fit for me. So far, since leaving my job, I haven't quite found it, but I think I am much more open to new experiences than I was when I was in my job. Even stepping out of my comfort zone and attending a blogging conference are things that I would have second guessed doing before. Sometimes I get really scared and stressed out about what will come next, but I truly believe that the right doors will open if I work hard.

One last bit. Since I'll be trying to utilize my social media more please follow me on twitter and like me on facebook! I would so appreciate it!
